Meet Dr. Rubio:

Rene Rubio, DVM, graduated from ITSON in Sonora, Mexico and completed his veterinary residency at Oklahoma State University. Go Pokes! A licensed Veterinarian in the State of Texas, Dr. Rubio sees the family dogs and cats and has years of clinic and emergency experience.

It was during his years  in the emergency room that he realized the great need for home veterinary care. Many clients were unable to get their pets to a vet’s office or the ER and would search desperately for help. If they could get there, he could see the stress caused by waiting with sick or hurt, nervous and scared pets -and many times with several children in tow!

It was at that time he began to see clients in their homes and realized how much he enjoyed the relationships and trust built as a result of the home environment. The families were relaxed and the pets were much more comfortable. He even noticed that some of the furry family members that turned into vet clinic "maniac" pets inside the typical veterinary hospital environment remained friendly and relaxed at home!

Over the years, as he began to see more and more house calls at nights and on weekends, the need for a full service clinic became obvious. It is with great satisfaction that he is able to offer a full range veterinary services to his wonderful clientele at home with the addition of our 26 foot custom veterinary mobile clinic.

“Doc”, as he is affectionately known by his clients, is fluent in Spanish, enjoys wood carving, fishing, camping, and his favorite of all is spending time with his wife Kelley any one of his five children. A great cook, he is known for making an addictive salsa and awesome Ceviche! He and his wife Kelley have been married for over twenty five years and have two fish, a moody Bearded Dragon named Buzz, two rotund (FAT!) hamsters named Gilbert and Fluffy, a handsome golden retriever named Max and a beautiful white rescue German Shepherd named Nike.

Meet Faith Hessinius, LVT:

Faith has always loved animals knew from the time she was a young girl she wanted to work with them. First she studied drafting and design until an abandoned litter of 9 puppies rocked her world. Deciding to follow her passion, Faith attended and graduated from the Vet Tech Institute of Houston in 2011. Now as a Licensed Veterinary Technician, she strives to expand her veterinary knowledge to better assist in your pet's care.
